Crunch
This baby croc was shot at the Mankwe hide in the Pilansberg with its newly caught prey - I had been watching this croc move carefully up the bank for some time but did not see this centipede until it lunged forward and extracted this from one of the cracks in the dry bank. I was happy with the eye contact and the depth of field in this photo. Canon 1D IV, 300mm f2.8, 1/100 sec @f6.3, ISO 800
